He is 7 months old now!  He isn't quite crawling yet but he certainly rolls around like crazy. He like to say "haiiii" like mommy does and he likes to say "dadada"
He is so cute and wonderful!

Midnight feeding

Giving Colin a bottle late at night and looking at his sweet face, his eyebrows that look like mine, and the light brown peach fuzz growing on top of his head

His little hand loves to explore my hand, the bottle, my mouth and nose. His eyes look right into mine. His eyelids get droopy. Back to sleep.

Rollin'

Colin rolled from his stomach to his back for the first time today! I'll try to post a picture soon.

Also, today Michael and I were talking about some worries we have. At a break in the conversation, Jane said, "Mom, some day a rainbow will come smiling through."

This is a quote from the Cinderella song A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes. I have no idea if she really knew what she was saying, but kids can be remarkably insightful sometimes. I'm pretty sure either way, she wanted to reflect on something nice and positive for Mom.

Today she also told me that I'm her best friend. I told her that she's my best friend, too, and she gave me a kiss and a hug. Nothing else has ever made me feel the way that made me feel. I love being a mom and I love my sweet kids.

Motherhood crack! Totally worth the poop I had to clean up yesterday.

Snow day

Rain last night and now a big snowstorm! What a week!

All of those beautiful leaves are already falling off of our tree!

Grandma Carrie and Grandpa Dennis came over today.  Carrie and Jane wore these matching aprons, aren't they cute?

Voting day (8 weeks old today)

Waiting in line to vote for 45 minutes with two kids by myself was extremely aggravating, but I did it.

It helps that when I got home Colin's cute feet were sticking out of his car seat like this:

Also, the tree in our front yard is a gorgeous shade of yellow today:

I sent these photos to Daddy while he was at work today.  I may have been trying to make him miss us a little more than usual. =)  Do you think it worked?

Monsters, rawr!

I bought these monster onesies back when Jane was a baby.  They were just tooooo cute!  I love putting them on Colin!!

And, of course, I had to capture these cute snuggles with Daddy:

Daddy has "magic arms" that help Colin to fall asleep every night.  They are both snugglers, I think.

Smiles

Colin is really smiling back at us when we smile at him now, and it is so fun to interact with him this way.  I took a video today of his big open-mouthed smiles at me as I was talking to him.
