Jane lately

Jane has been coloring a lot lately.  It's one of her favorite things to do.

She also loves to brush her teeth, and I snapped this photo of her doing it with Daddy:

And her hair is finally long enough to do hairstyles.  I've been experimenting mostly with pigtails lately, which I absolutely love on her, especially since some of her little curls stick through and are so adorable.

Jane loves playing in bed with Mommy and Daddy.  These are pictures of Jane playing peek-a-boo with Daddy over a book.  She is so cute.

This outfit was a combination of no-clean-laundry searching and collaboration between me and Jane. I love it.

Jane loves to sit in these "big girl" chairs.  She can get into them all by herself, but she's a little scared trying to get down by herself.  I usually hear her cry from another room and run in to find her toes 1 inch from the floor and her asking me to help her get down.  She likes to sit in these chairs and look at books with her head cocked to one side, and her little feet pointing up into the air since her legs aren't long enough to actually hang off of the end.  She's just the cutest girl ever.

Silly

Jane was really sick last night, and she ended up sleeping in our bed for the first time since she was just weeks old.  Toward the morning she kept shifting positions over and over, and at one point she was sleeping on me with her butt up in the air like this.  Luckily my iPod was sitting right next to me so I could snap a shot.

Jedi Jane

I made this cape for Jane last night, because tomorrow she's going to a Star Wars themed birthday party (and costumes are encouraged). I'm really proud of it.  It's the first thing I've sewed since high school (aside from the hand warmers I made last Christmas).  I'm also going to make her a red cape for Halloween (guess who she's going to be).  Obviously, she's not going to wear her pajamas under her Jedi cape, so I'll have to take a picture of the whole outfit tomorrow.  I just couldn't resist this preview.

It was cuter yesterday when she was trying to put on daddy's huge black church shoes, but luckily I had the camera with me when she was trying on my shoes today.

I found this chair at Kit-to-kid a few days ago, and Jane LOVES it. She loves having something just her size to sit down on. Even if it has the name "Abigail" on it. (Maybe we can just tell her it's a gift from her cousin).

We were delighted to sit behind the bulkhead, in a row with an empty seat, so we could put Jane in her own seat! She played on the floor, in her seat, she had so much room to move!

I just wanted to show how curly Jane's hair is getting. She has tight ringlets close to her neck, but as her hair grows longer the curls get looser. I wonder if she is going to have pretty waves like jacque and matti?
